We love a spot of nostalgia in the office and Toby reminded us the other day of this peach of an ad from the Yellow Pages. In the days when the Yellow Pages will fit through your letterbox, this harks back to the days when a trip to A&E would be on the cards if you dropped one on your foot. We love the portrayal of the simple northern folk, the macho pose of the dad, mum’s pinny and the twitching net curtain. You can almost feel the warmth of the coal fire and smell the beef dripping.
