The project: Design and build the World Cup website, devise a campaign to drive traffic to the site and engage with competitors, spectators and the wider GKR family

The GKR Karate World Cup is the highlight of the calendar for GKR Karate enthusiasts across the globe.

We were briefed to create the World Cup website where competitors could enter, spectators could buy tickets and all visitors could find out more about the event and the host city of Liverpool (particularly relevant for overseas competitors).

We worked with the GKR social team to ensure that our content was relevant and engaging and kept the site updated and populated in the run up to the World Cup.

A first for GKR, we developed the site to allow competitors to enter online, saving days of administration time for the event co-ordinators. The site had since been repurposed for UK National tournaments and the 2017 World Cup held in Australia, providing exceptional ROI.
